Asia Pacific Resources International Limited (APRIL) Group is one of the largest, most technologically advanced and efficient makers of pulp and paper products in the world.

We are looking for :

HEAD OF CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS


In this business critical role you will be responsible for leading, managing, supervising and conducting corporate communication function located on site in Riau as well as protecting and developing positive corporate reputation through media and internal communications and social media.

Responsibilities include managing corporate information, supporting the function’s director in developing strategic plan, cascading to all team members, supervising in planning, executing, evaluation and report. You will also be responsible for building and sustaining the company’s reputation.

Key responsibilities:
- Develop an integrated corporate communications strategy including

  media, internal, event and digital as well as plan and budget to      hit company objectives

- Roll out high quality campaign and engagement activities to

  decision maker and key influencer to ensure licenses to operate
- Develop and improve issues and crisis handling procedure and

  collaborate with related departments to ensure proper and timely

  escalation and executions
- Provide clear guidance and management to team members to ensure a

  high performing and responsive communications teams
- Track and review team performance and continuously improve

  activities and programs to achieve KPIs
- Monitor administrative process taking place in each communications

  program activities with adherence to company regulations
- Represent the company at local conferences, meetings and media

  events
 

Experience :
- Minimum of 15 years working experience in corporate communications

  or public relations on site, leading PR agencies or family business
- Ideally in a Senior Manager or equivalent position with experience

  leading a communication function on site
- Has worked cross functionally with a variety of teams and work

  closely with senior management or C suite
- Has successfully managed project involving multiple external and

  internal stakeholders from end to end
 

Relevant Skills :
- Strong understanding of the business and license to operate impact

  of communications, and sound experienced in crisis management
- Excellent spoken and written communications skill in English with

  the ability to bring ideas and narratives to life in an engaging

  manners
- Sound understanding of media, event management and social media

  analytics as well as overall digital communications
- Experience in project management, detail oriented and creative

  problem solving
- Expertise in ESG communications is a big plus
